                By virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Louisiana, I will sell at the principal front door of the St. James Parish Courthouse, 5800 Hwy 44, Convent, LA,  Parish of St. James, State of Louisiana, within the legal hours for judicial sales, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, 26th day of June, 2025, and continuing on each successive day until sales are completed, all IMMOVABLE PROPERTY, on which taxes due to the Town of Gramercy, Louisiana, to enforce collection of taxes assessed for the year 2024 and all costs.

 

                This is to certify that an Official Tax Notice has been sent by Certified Mail to the Tax Debtors of the Town of Gramercy, Louisiana, who have failed to pay the taxes as levied for the year 2024, said notices calling to their attention the fact that unless the taxes due would be paid within the period of ten (10) days from the date of notice that the properties would be advertised and sold according to law.

 

                The names and addresses of said delinquent taxpayers, the amount of taxes and interest due by each, plus costs, on the assessment for said year, and the description of the immovable property assessed to each to be offered for sale, to-wit:

On the day of the Sale, I will sell such portions of said properties as each debtor will point out, and in the case the debtor will not point out sufficient property, I will at once and without delay, sell the least portion of said property of the debtor, that any bidder will buy for the amount of taxes, interest and cost due by said debtor.  The sale will be without appraisal for cash, in legal tender money of the United States of America, and the property shall be redeemable at any time during a space of three years, by paying the price given, including cost and five (5%) percent penalty thereon, with interest at the rate of one (1%) percent per month until redeemed.

NOTICE TO MORTGAGE CREDITORS

GRAMERCY, LOUISIANA, PARISH OF ST. JAMES

 

In conformity with Section 53 of Act 170 of 1898, as amended, notice is hereby given to all parties holding mortgages upon the above described real estate located in the Parish of St. James, Town of Gramercy, Louisiana, on which taxes for the year 2024 have not been paid, that I will begin the sale of same at the courthouse of St. James Parish, 5800 Hwy 44, Convent, LA, Parish of St. James, on Thursday, the 26th day of June, 2025 and that said pieces of property so delinquent are now advertised in this newspaper in accordance with laws preparatory to such sale.

 

                The attention of Mortgage Creditors is hereby especially called to these advertisements of tax sales, and they are warned to take such steps prior to the sale as may be necessary to protect their rights and interests.
